Let us make your event a success!
Jason Heath
Jason has spent more than 30 years in the event rental industry, building his career from the ground up with a deep understanding of what it takes to execute exceptional events. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Jason began his journey in the industry while attending college, working hands-on with tent installations and event operations throughout Michigan. Early in his career, he had the opportunity to support events for the University of Michigan, including projects at Chrysler Arena and “The Big House” — experiences that helped shape both his leadership style and passion for creating memorable event experiences. A lifelong Michigan fan, Jason still proudly follows the Wolverines whenever he can.
As Owner and CEO of J&J Tent and Party Rentals, Jason now leads the company’s long-term vision, growth, and customer experience initiatives while working closely with clients, partners, and the J&J team to deliver seamless events across North Carolina. Over the years, he has had the privilege of serving a wide range of venues, universities, restaurants, businesses, and families throughout the region, helping bring everything from intimate celebrations to large-scale events and community gatherings to life. Jason takes great pride in building lasting relationships and helping customers create meaningful experiences for life’s most important occasions.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Kai, daughter Solei, and son Vaughn, and can often be found on the golf course with fellow J&J team members.

Kai Heath
Kai brings nearly two decades of marketing, branding, and strategic communications experience to J&J Tent and Party Rentals. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Written Communications, Kai built her career working with advertising agencies and staffing firms in Raleigh before founding Penned by Kai, her own boutique branding consultancy, in 2017. Through Penned by Kai, she has helped startups, small businesses, and entrepreneurs across industries — from healthcare to hospitality — clarify their brand story and connect with the people they’re meant to serve.
As Brand & Business Strategist at J&J, Kai now brings that same expertise home, overseeing the company’s website, marketing strategy, and lead generation efforts while supporting Jason and the leadership team on business growth and internal systems. She’s passionate about helping J&J tell its story well — making sure every customer who finds the company online or in person feels the same care and craftsmanship that goes into every event.
Outside of work, Kai is a children’s book author and a devoted wife and mom. She and Jason spend much of their time on the road with their two kids, turning weekend tournaments and travel sports into family vacations across the country.
Nina Fields
Nina is a proud Raleigh native and a passionate Bear at heart. She attended Shaw University for Business Management and later earned her real estate license in 2017. With over two decades of experience in customer service roles, Nina has honed her skills in both service and management. Her drive stems from a deep-seated love for ensuring client satisfaction and assisting others in fulfilling their needs.
When Nina is not immersing herself in work, you can often find her enjoying quality moments with her delightful son, Si. He keeps her on her toes, always brings a smile to her face, and even though he can be a handful sometimes, she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Nina’s roots trace back to rural North Carolina. This means frequent trips to the countryside to reconnect with family and relish the serenity it offers. She’s grateful to have found a team that shares a bond so deep and is thrilled to bring her touch to this wonderful company.
