4 Modern Venues Perfect for Spring Weddings

Some of NC’s Best Modern Wedding Venues

If a modern setting is what you’re looking for in a spring wedding, then look no further. We’ve researched and found four of the best modern wedding venues for spring weddings in the Triangle and surrounding areas.

Bay 7, American Tobacco District

For an urban-chic wedding, Bay 7 is the perfect choice. Located in the heart of the historic American Tobacco District of Durham, Bay 7 has all the features of an elegant modern style wedding: exposed brick walls, steel girders, panoramic windows, wrap-around interior balcony, and gorgeous hardwood floors.

This venue has enough room for you to host the ceremony, reception, and rehearsal dinner all under one roof. If you’re familiar with Durham, Bay 7 is adjacent to the Lucky Strike Tower. The 10,000 square foot space accommodates up to 400 people.

Studio 215

Fayetteville is just an hour’s drive from Raleigh. Studio 215 dates back to the 1930s and offers over 6,100 square feet for ceremony and reception. The interior is modern with bistro lights and high vaulted wood beam ceilings with exposed brick walls and metal rafters. This unique wedding venue also has large indoor balconies and a beautiful spiral staircase. The space accommodates up to 90 guests for the ceremony and up to 40 guests for the reception.

Every wedding package includes:

  • Cleaning crew
  • Security guard
  • Wheelchair accessible throughout
  • Handicap accessible restrooms
  • No additional fee for outside alcohol
  • Free private parking
  • Giant chalkboard wall

The Barn at Valhalla (Chapel Hill)

The Barn at Valhalla is located on thirty-five acres of beautiful pasture and woodlands in Chapel Hill. The Barn features three separate event spaces. This venue is perfect for a romantic rustic or modern wedding with its polished wood floors, vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, lush drapery, full kitchen, wraparound deck, and six chandeliers. There’s even a sleeping loft that sleeps up to 17 and has two bedrooms as well as a bridal suite and bunk room. Best of all, you can select your own licensed vendor and bring your own alcohol.

The Bridge Club

The Bridge Club has a capacity for a seated dinner of 100 guests on the third floor of the building. You can book one floor or both if you’d like. It’s best to book both floors for weddings here so you can use one floor for the ceremony and one for the reception.

The venue is located in a historic bank building in downtown Raleigh. The first floor is a popular restaurant Death & Taxes, and the Bridge Club is on the second and third floors of the building on Hargett Street. If you’re looking for a space for a more intimate wedding with up to 100 guests, then The Bridge Club is a popular option.

You’ll find leather couches, ambrosia maple cocktail tables, a fully loaded demo kitchen, and AV hookups. Linen and cater waiters are included.

Wedding Tent Rentals for Outdoor Ceremony or Reception

Some of these venues offer an outdoor option for your wedding. Even if you don’t choose one of these wedding venues for your spring wedding, renting a wedding tent is a great idea if you plan to take the festivities outside. Outdoor weddings are gorgeous in the spring, so please keep in mind our wide variety of quality tent and party rentals here at J&J Tent and Party Rentals.

Whatever type of wedding you plan, renting a tent will allow your guests to feel more cozy if it’s a cool day or evening. Plus, a wedding rental tent is great for keeping your guests free of pollen that’s so pervasive in the spring. A tent also comes in handy should a rain shower begin. J&J Tent and Party Rentals has plenty of party canopies available as well as tables and chairs. Please give them a call at (919) 977-3691 to learn more about their party rentals.
